CORING MACHINE DET8

Design and development of special machines:
DE.MA. srl develops, on request of the client

The design and development process considered the following needs:

  • Practicality of use, movement and installation on-site;
  • Ease of cleaning of parts in contact with food;
  • Compact dimensions;
  • Elastic software allowing a greater number of work configurations, increasing or decreasing the production of cored apples (range from 800 kg/h to 2×400 kg/h),
  • Compliance with following standards:
    – Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
    – Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU
    – Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU

The DET8 has been designed to eliminate the core from different apple types and sizes.

The apples are manually loaded by two operators from both sides of the machine.
The loaders position the apples in their dedicated Delrin seats contained in the conveyor shutters fixed on side chains, which with a staggered movement, shifts the shutters with the apples under the core evacuation station.
The entry to the coring station is protected by special photoelectric barriers which immediately stop the machine if their range of action is intercepted. There are also two emergency buttons which can be easily reached by the apple-loading operators.
The coring station is driven by two side pneumatic cylinders that control the vertical movement of the punches that cut out the core. At the end of their stroke, by means of a pneumatic cylinder positioned above the station, the ejectors are activated, which push the cores out of the punches and into an evacuation chute below.
Once the apples have been cored, the conveyor advances making the apples fall into a dedicated collection container.
